Hi Everyone!
I was organizing my stamps last night when I spotted the pineapple stamp in my Hero Arts "Simply the Best" clear stamp set. I decided to use it to make some cards.
I used a Sizzix tags die to cut some watercolor paper. I inked the pineapple stamp with Versamark Ink and stamped it onto the tags I had cut. I applied white embossing powder to the ink and used my heat gun to melt it.
I used some of my Distress Ink pads to watercolor the pineapple images. Then I applied a Wink of Stella clear glitter pen to the painted images to make them shimmer. I used a Tumbled Glass Distress Ink pad to watercolor the remainder of the tag.
The sentiment was created with an Impression Obsession wooden stamp.
Here's one of the cards.
Have a great night!

You Color My World
Good Morning!
I am loving this sunny, but cool weather. No humidity! Wish it would stay this way.
Lawn Fawn's mini clear stamp set "Color My World" is a favorite of mine. It has 2 clear stamps-a crayon and a sentiment. Here's one of the cards I made from it.
The "thanks" sentiment was created from a Lawn Fawn die. I am a huge fan of the fonts she uses. I layered 5 of the thanks die cuts on top of each other to create dimension on the card. The yellow crayon has foam under it to add dimension to it.
Have a wonderful day!

Today is National Sunglasses Day
Hi Everyone!
Happy National Sunglasses Day! I found a scrap of sunglasses paper in my stash and decided to turn it into a card.
I used a Taylored Expressions die to create the sun. The center of the sun is backed with a thin piece of foam to add dimension to the card. The sunglasses are a sticker. The sentiment was created from Lawn Fawn's "Hello Sunshine" clear stamp set.

Outdoor Pinwheels
Hi Everyone!
Many of you have seen the paper pinwheels I create to use as decorations and on gift bags and packages. I use a We R Memory Keepers pinwheel maker to cut the paper for them.
My sister Paula asked me to create some outdoor pinwheels for her. I knew that paper ones wouldn't last long outdoors. I tried plastic scrapbook paper and that didn't work either.
I walked around Staples and found some heavy duty plastic file folders. The blade in the pinwheel maker would not cut the plastic so I made some paper templates. I traced them onto the plastic and cut the plastic by hand.
It was raining so I quickly put one out on my deck. It immediately started to spin around. When I looked outside the next morning the pinwheel was still spinning and was still intact.
So I made these pinwheels for Paula.
Have a great day

A Gardening Collage
Good morning!
I am writing this post from Seattle. I am typing it with one finger on my tablet so I will be brief. I made this wall art for my sister Paula many years ago.
I added a variety of real objects and fussy cut stamped images to the frame.

Gift bag
Good Morning!
I found some pictures on my computer that I have never posted and plan to share them with you.
Here are a couple of gift bags.
Have a great day!
I found some pictures on my computer that I have never posted and plan to share them with you.
Here are a couple of gift bags.
These bags are so easy to make. I paper punched the flowers and added a brad to the center of each of them. I free cut the leaves and used some Martha Stewart fringe scissors to cut the grass. The flower stems are paper straws. I used different widths of Scor-tape to adhere each of the pieces to the bags.
Have a great day!

Some Bunny is on the way
Hi Everyone!
My sister, Paula, asked me to create a congratulations card for a neighbor who is expecting her first baby.
Here's the card.
The bunnies and sentiment were created from Lawn Fawn's "Hello Baby" clear stamp set. I used a Lockhart wooden stamp to create the "Congratulations" message. The cloud and grass were paper punched.

Happy National Strawberry Shortcake Day
Hi Everyone!
Happy National Strawberry Shortcake Day! Did you know that almost every day of the year is a "National _____ Day?" Sometimes I use the theme of the day as an inspiration for my cards and dinner.
Nothing says summer like the beautiful red ripe strawberries that are in the produce section of all of the grocery stores right now. Last night I made us the yummiest salad for dinner. It had Boston lettuce, strawberries, blue cheese crumbles, and vegetarian bacon. I eat regular bacon, but Robbie doesn't so I chosen the vegetarian bacon so we both could eat it.
It seems cooler today so I may make some of our favorite strawberry shortcakes using this recipe from King Arthur Flour. I am thinking of making a variety of tea sandwiches for some company and may use this recipe. It's a favorite of mine because it is made in the microwave and doesn't heat up the kitchen.
Meanwhile, I made some strawberry themed "thinking of you" cards yesterday.
I looked through my supplies and found strawberry stamps, paper, and brads.
I used the sentiment from Lawn Fawn's "Happy Summer" clear stamp set for this card along with another brad.
The frame on this card was created with a "Labels Eight" Speillbinder's die. I stamped and fussy cut green and red strawberries from the Hero Arts "Simply Fresh" clear stamp set. The sentiment is from PaperTrey Ink's "Fruit Fusion" clear stamp set. At the moment the "berry" sentiment stamp is some place on the patterned rug in my dining room. I dropped it and it bounced off my knee and so far I haven't had any luck finding it.
This card turned out the way I had hoped it would. I used a Lockhart wooden stamp to create the bowl of strawberries, the sentiment from Lawn Fawn's "Happy Summer" clear mini stamp set, and some strawberry brads for the images. The frame was created with a "Classic Rectangles" Spellbinder's die.
This card is my favorite. I die cut the leaves and blue background. The flowers were punched from a Fiskars paper punch. I added a tiny yellow brad to the center of each flower. I also used more strawberry brads.
And that's it for today! Hope that you enjoy something "strawberry" today. If you do please post a comment and tell us what you had.

Oh Happy Day
Hi Everyone!
It's hard to believe that it has been almost 2 years since I have posted anything on this blog. I have resigned from my job and am taking the summer off to regroup. Hopefully, I will have more time to post some of my creations.
A friend told me that she likes to send "thinking of you" cards so that is what I have been working on for the last few days.
The birds were stamped from an older set of Hero Arts wooden stamps, colored with Memento markers, and then I used a Wink of Stella glittery clear marker to make the birds sparkle. I used the branch from Papertrey Ink's "Take a Bough" clear stamp set. The sentiment was stamped with a clear stamp from Lawn Fawn's "Hello Sunshine" clear stamp set.
Some of the "thinking of you" cards I have been creating have a summer theme. This is one of my favorites. I was trying to figure out what type of paper to use for the background and spotted this one in my stash. It reminds me of the skin on a watermelon. I used the watermelon from Hero Art's "Simply the Best" clear stamp set to create the watermelon. First I stamped on the same tag as the background paper and then onto red tag. I fussy cut both of the stamped images and then adhered the red image onto the green one. I glued some thin fun foam to the back of the bottom watermelon slice to give it dimension. The sentiment was stamped with a Dandelion Designs wooden stamp.
Hope you have a happy day!
